Delano Boys Basketball Releases Season Schedule

The full 2025-2026 boys basketball schedule is now available (link).  “We are excited about the schedule and the challenge it poses for our team,” said Coach Chance Veasey.  He went on to say, “We play two AAAA opponents, have five games against teams in our section, and we know the Wright County Conference is always competitive.”

Delano is coming off a 12-14 campaign in 2024-2025.  The roster returns three starters from last year’s team in Nate Nielson, Bjorn Steward, and Ben Tellers. The first home game is 12/2 against Chisago Lakes. 

This year’s season starts on November 29th at Richfield.  Richfield, like Orono, Westonka, and Minneapolis Southwest, are in the same section, making these match-ups significant for postseason seeding in the Section 6 bracket.

The full 26-game schedule features 12 home games. “We have a stretch in December from the 5th through the 16th that we play five important home games, and I think that provides our community a great time to get to know us and support this team,” said Veasey.

The team plays at nearby Orono on 12/19 and at Buffalo on 12/23.
